Yijian Shan is a Chinese writer and director living in New York. She studied film and media studies at University of California, Berkeley, and is currently in the MFA program at Columbia University concentrating in directing. Growing up in Chengdu, Yijian is passionate about exploring the mystical and transcendent ties between individual and collective memory, alongside the natural environment. In her narrative pursuits, she embarks on a quest to unravel the edges of imagery.
